Deciding on the baby glider or recliner is a big decision – as new moms, we’re about to spend a lot of time nursing there, as well as many years to come reading our little ones stories on the chair at night. Sasha and I looked at Pottery Barn Kids, RH Baby and Child, Land of Nod, Serena and Lily – we liked a lot of the chairs, but none of them seemed just right for our house/Isla’s room. I saw the Graham Glider online at West Elm and loved it, but wasn’t convinced until 1) my good friend, Mara, told me that they had just bought it, and 2) we both sat in in and decided it was “the one.” We ordered the Pebble Weave chair in Oatmeal, as well as the matching ottoman. We were told that they take 8-10 weeks to arrive (ours came in 7!). It arrived on Saturday, and I seriously could not be more pleased. Pictures below!

  1. Good choice 🙂
The room is so light and airy – I love it.
And I’m jealous of the space!!

  2. love! it’s so chic and sophisticated – just like isla will be! some of them are just plain ugly, but this one you’ll be able to keep and it doesn’t look too babyish (if that makes sense!). love the new header as well!

    • You’re too sweet 🙂 Thank you!!! I agree – some of the chairs are so grandma-esque. That’s exactly what we were going for!! And thanks!! Wanted a little refresh.

  4. Hi there! I’m thinking of getting the Graham glider in the same fabric as yours – how are you finding it holds up? I’m worried about the linen fabric and stains…but it’s so pretty! 🙂

Hi Kate, This fabric choice is the best! We talked to the people working at West Elm and they said it cleans the best, and we agree. Isla (our daughter) has thrown up all over it, and it seriously just wipes off. It’s amazing!! I hope you get the chair – I’ve spent oh-so-many hours sleeping in it, and love it 🙂 Let me know if you have any other questions!
