Sasha has finally (yes, finally!) agreed to redo our master bedroom. It was the only room in the house that we did not buy a new furniture set for when we moved, and I have been dying to decorate the room in a style that better sits both of us. I have long lusted after a crisp, cream room with a tall, fabric headboard, light bedside tables, a pop of color (perhaps in the pillows), a big mirror, tall bookshelf, big armoire, etc.

I have been saving images of my favorite master bedrooms on my computer, many of which are shown below. I will be bringing these with me as I begin my furniture shopping in the next few weeks. If you’ve got a good idea as to where I can find similar items to the pictures below in Houston (or online), please let me know! I’ve got Ethan Allen, West Elm, Restoration Hardware, Crate and Barrel, Design Within Reach, and Pottery Barn on my list.

You can also check out my dream kitchens and living room posts. Up next? Gorgeous office spaces.

  1. Your sister’s house is like a perfect magazine picture! So gorgeous! Is her bed from Room & Board? I’m obsessed with that bed. We just redid our bedroom – I am waiting on our Euro Sham covers to come in and then I plan to do a post about it as well! Great minds… :). If you find an amazing deal on a tall mirror let me know. I can’t, in good conscience, spend $500+ on a mirror.

    • You’re a ninja! That is where her bed is from! I CANNOT wait to see photos of your room. I know it’s stunning. I’ll definitely let you know re: mirror. Any particular style in mind?

  2. oh those pictures of our room are TERRIBLE! why did they do pink & orange like a 12 year old girls room throwback? please come take some better ones.

  3. I am swooning over these bedroom photos, Ailee! I hope we get to decorate/re-decorate ours when we finally move in together! Thanks for sharing these inspirations; I’m totally taking note!

I love the furniture you chose for these rooms. My husband and I finally decided to get new furniture for the house. We’ve been looking at different furniture stores and trying to decide what style of furniture we want.
