With the holidays coming up, there are a lot of meals to be shared together with family and friends, and someone will inevitably be playing the role of hostess. I absolutely love cooking for others, and therefore, was excited to have our good friends over on Sunday for a Friendsgiving celebration. Since most of our friends don’t have children, it’s now easier to have people over to our house than to get a babysitter and go out to eat, so the role of hostess is one I’ll be playing more and more often.

This gift guide was fun to make, as I would seriously love any or all of these adorable gifts any know any other hostess would too. I realized the other day we don’t have cute salt and pepper shakers, so I would just die over these Kate Spade ones. As the ultimate cheese lover, I would love these cute cheese forks and the monogram cutting board. The shaker and cocktail book would make a great set, as would the decanter and wine bottle stopper.

If you are ever stuck on a gift for someone who loves entertaining, you can never, ever go wrong with a Diptyque candle. I am seriously in love with ours.

Do you have any other suggestions for what to buy a hostess for the holidays? My sweet friend, Mara of Hook, Thread & Tinker, came up with an incredible list as well!

  1. Hi Ailee,

I love all your gift guides. I’ve been working on making my own using polyvore. Is this how you made yours? I see other people sometimes make them in Canva but I like having the ability to click on it to see where to purchase.
