It’s hard to believe that Texans are currently celebrating spring break, as we’ve had terrible weather weeks three in a row, and this holiday is normally one filled with sunshine and a whole lot of pool time! Those who know me well are aware that I am not a huge fan of wearing a bikini outside of our own backyard, as I’ve always thought it felt like you were wearing a bra and underwear in front of people whom you wouldn’t normally. I do, however, enjoy a stylish one-piece, which Sasha may or may not make fun of me for. Wearing a one-piece does not have to be ultra conservative, as there are a number of fun shapes, colors, necklines that can add a little sass to your swimwear.

Even if you’re doing your stroller fitness (wink, wink), your stomach may not look as toned as it did prior to having a baby, so a well-cut one-piece or high waisted bottoms can be perfect to hide any of those last pounds your body is still hanging onto. Perhaps you’ve lost all of the baby weight but feel you’d rather not put on your itty-bitty bikini now that you’ve got a new title of ‘mom’ (I think I’ve been years ahead of myself in this category!), well that’s fine, as there are a number of gorgeous one-pieces you can choose from.  I’ve rounded up 18 of my favorite and am sharing them with you today! If you’re reading this on a mobile device, go to the home page and click ‘Shop This Post’ for links to each piece.

I absolutely love this white scalloped one-piece from Anthropologie and this cutout black one from Tory Burch. This mix-and-match tankini top has the perfect flounce and shape to hide any soft tummies! If you’d prefer two pieces, this J. Crew top and high-waisted bottoms set is gorgeous. I have a very similar cut and patterned swimsuit like this Mara Hoffman one I’m obsessed with. I bought it long before I even know who Mara Hoffman was!

Are you swimsuit season ready? Have you been shopping yet? Please feel free to share links to other favorite finds in the comments below!

P.S. Thank you to my high school friend, Lauren, for this great post idea and for being such a loyal reader! You all can see more swimsuit trends on my friend’s blog – Jenny Journey. She recently posted a gorgeous set of swimwear here.

  1. I love these! I’m a fan of the conservative but high trend one-piece and I also LOVE the high waisted JCerw bikini. I’ve had one for years and still love it.
    Good collection, lady! xx.

You are SO welcome!! What a great post, Anthro is really on point with swimsuits this year — I’ve been eyeballing the lace-front piece for a few weeks now. I wish I could find it in store to try on, but I think I’m going to order anyways! I like the high waisted bikini trend too 🙂

Nick and I loved watching your debut on TV the other day 😉

  3. Hey boo, thank you so very much for the shoutout! I love your one-piece styles, here, and as they say, “Variety is the spice o’ life.” I naturally gravitate toward a bikini (I blame my long torso), but think so many women look dead sexy in their unikini 😉 Hope we get to play out in our swimsuits, with our babes, some day…what was that about L.A., again?! xoxoxox

  4. Oh how I wish I could have my pre-beautifulbabyboy abs back. I didn’t know how good I had it! Now I’m finally starting to be okay with the idea of wearing a full suit — especially since I just saw all the beauties you’ve shared here. So many cute ones, it’s hard to say which is my favorite!

  5. I have never worn a one piece but I’m definitely not super comfortable with my post baby body, I just find (with my shape) that one pieces look worse than two. My “problem areas” are my bum and thighs so I find one pieces just accentuate that. I am loving that purple one with the ruffle from Nordstrom though! Maybe I’ll have to give the one piece a try this summer. I really love the high waisted bottoms look, my husband would die though LOL

  6. Thanks for this round up! I’ve been dreading the fact that I will have to put on a bathing suit in a few months after just giving birth to twins. These are great picks!

  7. Love the one-piece options! I’m never wearing a two-piece again. But the two you picked out might just be good enough for me to prance around in in my backyard. Lol.

  8. Ooooh thank you for making this post! I’m not a new mom but I don’t like wearing two pieces for the same reasons, I just feel like I’m walking around in my underwear!! These are SO cute!!! I’m gonna have to check several of them out. I know you’ve heard of Albion…I’m obsessed with their one pieces, so stylish and cute.
