Happy Black Friday! I hope you had the best Thanksgiving yesterday, and if you’re planning on shopping today or have already been… well, God bless you. I couldn’t do it! I’m all about the online deals right now. I’ll share some of the best Cyber Monday discounts soon!

Since today is technically set-up-your-Christmas-tree-day (Sasha, please!), I wanted to share details about one of my closest friend’s upcoming holiday workshop since it’s going to be so much fun, and I want you to join. Plus, you’ll get 10% off, but you’ve got some reading to do before you get there!Meredith, the creative force behind Cake & Confetti (Website // Instagram), is hosting a workshop to help prepare us ladies for the holiday season. She will be providing tips for entertaining and decorating that will help you impress your guests without having to break the bank. Meredith will focus on semi-homemade ways to spruce up your home along with food displays that are perfect for the busy hostess (ahem, all of us).

The workshop is on Sunday, December 6th from 2-4:30pm and will be held at one of On Point Custom Homes‘ stunning homes in Briargrove (6243 Chevy Chase Drive). We’ll cover a number of topics during this time, including:

  • Creating a picture perfect spread without spending hours in the kitchen
  • Tips for styling your bar cart/drink display and festive cocktail recipes
  • How to spruce yourself up five minutes before your guests arrive with Britt Lais Williams, the owner of Butter Artistry

In addition, we’ll be doing two hands-on activities, as everyone will make their own live greenery garland perfect for your table, mantle or above your front door, in addition to decorating your own cake to take home (like the one below!). Also, all workshop attendees will leave with a printed guide of recipes, ideas and where to buy everything we use during the workshop (this is so helpful!!). The workshop is $120, but from today until Dec. 1 you can sign up here and use the code ‘SAMTFRIENDS‘ to get 10% off (making it only $108!).
