When we found out we were having another girl, Sasha was so relieved because “we don’t have to buy anything!” Well, it turns out that some pretty cool new baby products have hit the market in the past 2.5 – 3 years, and obviously I wanted to try them out! Ha. Over the next few weeks, I’m going to review some of these items, like the 4moms infant tub, the Owlet monitor, the Dock-a-Tot, and a couple other products. For other products I think are essential for newborns, you can check out my registry guide here.

We never bathed Isla or Emi in a sink, even in the early days. One thing I was always concerned about was the temperature of the water, as Isla loved when the water was really, really warm (ahem, borderline hot). I feared that it was too warm, and always played with the temperature to try to get it perfect. Enter the 4moms infant tub, which has a thermometer and digital temperature screen right by where the water pours into the tub, which will light up green when the water is perfectly warm. I love it. The smartest part about the tub is the clean water reservoir. Anyone who has given more than a few baths will understand the risk of a baby pooping or peeing in the water (it happens all of the time!). The water from the spout sits in a reservoir that feeds into the tub where Emi sits and is bathed. The soapy water then drains from this section, and I’ll use the cup (which conveniently sits on the side of the tub) to rinse her. Giving Emi a bath is truly so easy using this tub – I don’t have to worry about the temperature and I know that she’s been rinsed with pure, unsoapy water.

We also received the 4moms spout cover to use when we bathe Isla, and not only do I love it for the reasons mentioned above, I love it because Isla thinks it is SO COOL to watch the numbers change, to hear the beeps, and to get the water “just right.” I’m glad we’ll be able to keep monitoring the tub water for both girls once Emi outgrows the infant tub.

I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions expressed are truthful and 100% my own. I am disclosing this in compliance with the FTC regulations.
