The Perfect One-Piece

swimsuitonepiece2

I have forever loved one-piece swimsuits. Not just due to the fact that I am very modest, but because I find them very sexy (even though they cover up more skin). Two of my favorite swimsuits ever are old one-pieces from Juicy Couture and Anthropologie, and I’m on the hunt for another one this year (much to the dismay of my fiancé). I’ve been scouring the internet, and these six are my favorite. I think I’m leaning towards the first and second suits – Mara Hoffman (I want everything) and J. Crew (40% off all swimsuits right now!).

Independence Day Style

julyfourth2013

July Fourth is next weekend (hallelujah!), and I’m trying to decide what I’m going to wear. I’ve ordered the Tory Burch Miller sandals (#9) after borrowing my sister and my mom’s for years. I also have the wedge version of the J. Crew pump (#10), so that’s in contention. I have all of the Kendra necklaces (yes, obsessed), so now it’s just the dress I need. I’m probably going to take advantage of J. Crew’s 30% off sale on all summer items (Code: SUMMER3o).

What are you wearing for next week’s celebrations?

The Mara Gown

I love the work of Karine’s photographer, Laura Murray, and as I was perusing her blog, I discovered the most beautiful floor length BCBG white gown. Currently obsessed with buying white dresses, I thought – why not? I think this one will definitely make it into our engagement session. It’s almost $100 cheaper on Dillards.com than BCBG – find the Mara gown here (and yes, it’ll make me think about you, Mara).

Spring Dressing

springsprung

Spring is undoubtedly my favorite season of the year. Unfortunately, in Texas, it lasts about a month, as summer arrives quickly, and all you want to wear is a swim suit. Stylish dressing for the mid-80s weather can be so simple – throw on a pair of casual jean shorts, espadrilles, a bright purse, white tank, and a floral blazer and you’re set. Pick a piece of jewelry from Kendra Scott’s new Island Escape collection, and you’re set!

1) Kendra Scott Deva Statement Earrings, 2) Ella Moss Citrus Floral Blazer, 3) J. Crew Denim Short Patina Wash, 4) Tory Burch Violet Small Tote, 5) J. Crew Seville Wedge Espadrille
