A Hoppy Easter

I super love Easter. The church service is always amazing – it’s a beautiful thing to celebrate the fact that Jesus rose from the grave (the ever popular: He is risen!). Our church, Bayou City Fellowship, was packed, which made me so happy. We went to my parent’s house afterwards for Easter lunch + got little Easter baskets, filled with gift cards to Starbucks + Jonathan’s The Rub, healthy snacks (we’re both very picky), + prosecco with the cutest bunny glove ever (see pictures below). I hope you had a great celebration as well!

Four Years of Travel in Review

I love to travel. If you’re read more than one blog post of mine, you’ll likely know this. I have a goal of going to 50 countries by the time I’m 50, and I’m on track – Indonesia (where we’re going in December) will be my 25th country to visit (and I’m 25). Traveling is the most exhilarating thing in the world, and as a photo-lover, the best inspiration. I look through my pictures often (and print most!) – I picked a few of my favorites from my last four years’ (international-only) travel. If you want to go to any of these places, ask me! I’d love to share advice. Have a good Good Friday!

Amanda Dawbarn’s Golden Home

I love Glitter Guide – truly, it’s amazing. I especially love the Style at Home series. Amanda Dawbarn, a co-creator of 100 Layer Cake, was recently featured on the series, + y’all… I’m in love with her home! The gold accents everywhere are incredible – I’ve just added a few of the items to our registry, like the gold Bodum French press + the gold + white Mr. Ice Bucket. Already on our list? That KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer at a cool $350. I don’t even bake! But I promise that I would if I owned that (in my dreams).

Warby Parker

Warby Parker, the TOMS of spectacles, are blowing up the blogosphere right now, with big features by some of my favorite blogs, namely Sequins and Stripes and A Piece of Toast. I recently spilled clear nail polish all over my one-year old pair of Prada frames (seriously kicking myself), so it’s time to get a new pair. Thank the good Lord above that Warby Parker frames are super affordable and that Ashley (proud mother of Pierson, featured yesterday) owns an optometry practice and is going to help me get lenses. I am trying to decide between the frames shown below. What are your favorites? I’m torn.
