Map it Out

When you have a destination wedding, one of the most important parts of the invitation is the map. Instead of using a plain map, it’s more fun to do something creative. Look at the beautiful examples below – my favorite being the first picture, which is a handkerchief with all of the invitation details! Love it. PS My older sister, Karine, got engaged this weekend! Two Semple weddings in 2013!

Progress on The Manor

I promised house updates, so here we go. Sasha and I stopped by The Manor after church, and I’m amazed at the progress so far. We have a team of 8 guys working everyday, and they are so diligent. We’ve got new doors, popcorn ceiling removal (in progress), a new bar, a new closet, cans for the recess lighting, holes for the invisible ceiling speakers, and all new siding on the house. Click here for ‘before’ pictures.

Favorite Looks of the Week

Every night, I go to Bloglovin’ and quickly look over my favorite fashion blogs. There are always those outfits that stick with me, and this week, I’ve compiled a list of the best. How about Betty’s big huge bow (and glittery Converse??)? Or Rachel’s amazing, bright yellow boots? Lots to gush over this week.

I had to order Sasha these and me these (with these socks!) after seeing this post!

Venue: The Carneros Inn

The contact will be signed today for the venue. It was my #1 choice from day one, and I cannot believe the wedding is actually going to take place there! Mum and I visited last Friday, and I fell even more in love. So we’re all squared up: Friday, July 19 in Napa at The Carneros Inn. See some (okay, quite a few) pictures below from Style Me Pretty. I cannot wait to have Ryan Ray there to shoot our big day!

Bubbles and Sparkles

I did a little holiday decorating this past weekend – creating a Christmas wreath and golden, sparkly pine cones. Given our busy schedule this winter, neither Sasha, me, nor McKenzie will be hosting any large Christmas gatherings, which became more upsetting after seeing this gorgeous holiday spread on 100 Layer Cake. The sparkly feel, champagne bubbles and beautiful florals scream Christmas party – maybe next year!
