Opa!

I’ve always wanted to go to the Greek Festival in Houston, and when one of my best friends, Patrick, said he was interested in going to, I was elated. The weather was perfect (apparently 80 degrees – felt hotter), the music was lively, and the wine (oh the Greek wine!) was delicious. So much so, in fact, that Pat and I drank the whole bottle  while sitting on a shaded section of the curb, catching up on life. I cannot wait to go again next year – I’ll probably go at night so I can listen to the live music.

And my favorite (on Instagram) – our empty bottle! Opa!

A Little Sheepish

A little sheepish grin creeps across my face whenever I see this Madewell sweater. We first spotted it in the NYC storefront and have been obsessed ever since. Throw on that ‘Done and Done’ scarf when heading outdoors, and you’ve got the perfect fall color combo. Ohh, I cannot wait for chilly weather!

Something Blue

I love the wedding tradition of “something borrowed, something blue.” Especially the blue part, because there is nothing I love more than a pop of blue (check out some of my jewelry for confirmation.) What about those suede turquoise platform pumps below? To die for.

Share Those Snapshots

This year, McKenzie and I have gone to Denver, Chicago, Portland, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Antigua, and NYC, and while on our trips, we Instagram… a lot. As we get ready to board our flight back to Houston, we’ll send each other all of the pictures from our phones (normally around 15). This is… well, slow – to say the least. I recently read about Capsule on 100 Layer Cake. It’s a brilliant idea. And it’s simple. You create an account, an event and then you get a “join code,” which you share with anyone else with whom you want to share pictures. When you Instagram the pictures, you use this code in the hashtag, and the pictures are automatically added to the joint folder, which you are able to access on the free CapsuleCam app (or on Instagram). From CapsuleCam, you can download pictures that others have added that you like. Voilà, the perfect travel (or event) photo share solution!

A collage of Portland pictures that would have been much easier if Shoua, McKenzie and I were using Capsule.

Oh well, there’s always a next time!
