The Fluorescent Runner

I feel like defending myself every time someone tells me that my new tennis shoes are the same color as all of the Olympic runners. “I got them first, I swear!” Regardless, the fluorescent yellow color is definitely “in” right now, and I’m loving the trend. Below you’ll see my go-to running get-up. Yes, I still use over-the-head headphones because I promise my ears are misshapen and the other style don’t stay put. The Lulu shorts are new – a present from Sasha’s sister. I ran my fastest 3mi run yesterday wearing them – I think they’re magic.

Atheneum Creative Gets More Creative

I look at Oh So Beautiful Paper every single day (it has it’s own tab on Chrome), and whenever I see a stationary set that I’m obsessed with, I get all excited and giddy. And you know what the craziest thing is? 99% of the time, it’s a product of Atheneum Creative, located right around the corner in Houston. Needless to say, I know whom I’m turning to whenever I’m planning a big event. It’s that Carolyna Pro font, I’m telling you. It’s amazing! Here Are my 2 Weeks: I’m Joining the Circus

This weekend was nice and busy, per usual. On Saturday, {s} and I went to his cousin’s daughter’s first birthday party. Mila looked as cute as a button in her party dress (the theme/decor were based on her outfit, lnaturally), and she was entirely irresistible when she smeared the cake all across her face. After the party, {s} and I headed to Cirque du Soleil to see Kooza. I’m a huge Cirque fan (this was my 5th show), but {s} had never been before and loved it. I seriously wanted to quit Accenture and begin my career as a trampolinist/contortionist. They’re amazing. Highlights from Saturday are below!

Goin’ “Back to School” in Style

After two years of Monday to Thursday travel to Oklahoma City for work, I am starting a new project in Houston in two weeks. And yes, I am treating like this I’m going back to school. And yes, that means I’ve been shopping. My favorite purchase so far is my Signature Spade Quilted Chad Laptop Bag (in emerald). It’s beautiful! And for $198 – it’s a steal. I am obsessed.

Say Cheese!

Okay, you know the drill. Sit through the meal, listen to the speeches, watch the first dance – all the while, anxiously eyeing the photo booth in the corner, waiting to be able to escape and act like a fool with fun glasses, boas, etc. Lately, I’ve seen some really cute photo booth signs, setups, etc. See below 🙂
