Inspired by the Beach

I just got back from Antigua, and I am seriously craving the sun. I borrowed {m’s} maxi dress when we got stuck in Miami on our outbound journey, and I’m definitely looking for a new one of my own now. Today’s “lust list” is tropical inspired, with the focus on the maxi.

1) Alda Kate Spade sunglasses, 2) Eugenia Kim Max feather-embellished straw fedora, 3) Kate Spade Paisley Park necklace, 4) Anthropologie Between Lines Maxi Dress, 5) Marion Tory Burch tote, 6) Essie Bikini So Teeny, 7) Gucci Penelope Linen and Leather Espadrille or J. Crew Martina Wedge (cheaper!)

Hot Pink & Gold

Currently obsessed with: hot pink and gold. Triggered by: a delivery from Kate Spade. They have the best pink/gold merchandise. See other inspiration below… lots of fun stationary, jewelry, etc. Check out the Priya purse (second from bottom). I will be doing a Priya feature in the near future. Stay tuned!

Gorgeous Camp Lucy Wedding

This weekend was rather busy – I landed at midnight in Houston from Antigua, then hit the road Saturday to drive to Austin for a wedding at Camp Lucy, which is in Dripping Springs (outside of Austin). The bride, Lindsey, and groom, Brad, looked radiant, and the location was truly picturesque. Some of the highlights are below. Beach pictures will come next!

The Perfect White Dress

I’ve been dreaming about weddings since I was about 6 years old, and I’ve always known one thing: I want a simple, plain white dress. After talking to friends who have recently gotten married, I now know another: I do not want to spend a lot of money on my dress. Weddings are inordinately expensive, and I’d rather spend a ton of money on my stationary, decorations, band, flowers, food, and drinks. With all of this said, J. Crew’s wedding collection is perfect. Simple white dresses that do not break the bank. My favorites are below – aren’t they stunning?

1) Laura Lace Gown, 2) Taryn Gown, 3) Lucienne Gown, 4) Lucinda Ball Gown, 5) Sophia Gown in Silk Chiffon
