The Bare Necessities

“It’s the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, forget about your worries and your strife!”

Okay, so maybe not so much “necessities,” but these are pretty darn close – right? Totally lusting after all six items right now. What’s on your lust list?

1) Chanel shoulder bag, 2) Cendrillon dress at Anthropologie, 3) Carolyna font – it’s everywhere right now, including Emily’s invites and Elizabeth’s style blog, 4) Oversized bow tie at ASOS, 5) Danielle earrings at Kendra Scott, 6) Leather Louboutin Pumps (so close now!)

Baby Boys in Bowties

Um, I’m sorry, but is there anything in the world cuter than little boys dressed up in formal attire?

I think not.

So when I saw these adorable “little man” birthday party invitations on Oh So Beautiful Paper, my heart fluttered. Are these invites not perfect?

They were created by Atheneum Creative, a stationary boutique (conveniently) located in Houston and Charlotte. I know who I’m going to for any future invitations!

The Vintage Touch

I seriously want to plan a party right now after browsing through A Style Collective’s website. This Houston-based styling boutique has a gorgeous blog, filled with real weddings and styled shoots. These images are whimsical and so fairytale-like! These sort of vintage, design touches help transform parties, weddings and photoshoots into so much more than just your run-of-the-mill event.

Sealed and Stamped

As you have gathered by now: I love stationary and gorgeous handwriting. But what about stamps? I must admit, I’ve never really entertained the idea of using them to replicate envy-invoking calligraphy until now.

My new favorite, Sparrow Nest Script, does customized stamps too – Glorious!

Also, using a custom stamp for an invitation is a unique, fun idea. Lindsay from McMillian+Furlow created the coolest BBQ invitation using a custom stamp – I love it!
