The contact will be signed today for the venue. It was my #1 choice from day one, and I cannot believe the wedding is actually going to take place there! Mum and I visited last Friday, and I fell even more in love. So we’re all squared up: Friday, July 19 in Napa at The Carneros Inn. See some (okay, quite a few) pictures below from Style Me Pretty. I did a little holiday decorating this past weekend – creating a Christmas wreath and golden, sparkly pine cones. Given our busy schedule this winter, neither Sasha, me, nor McKenzie will be hosting any large Christmas gatherings, which became more upsetting after seeing this gorgeous holiday spread on 100 Layer Cake. The sparkly feel, champagne bubbles and beautiful florals scream Christmas party – maybe next year!
I’ll admit it: I’m not a floral connoisseur. My Maid of Honor, McKenzie, is a pro. Our apartment is always filled with beautiful bouquets, and I love it. I’m all about simplicity – small, pretty clear vases filled with pastel flowers is exactly what I want. See inspiration below.

First, my photographer (as discovered here) is amazing. We’ve been emailing back and forth about outfits for the engagement shoot, and he has wonderful recommendations. I cannot wait to see Sasha all dressed up in J. Crew, straight out of a winter shoot. Flannels, sigh. The next big thing to contemplate is my hair. I’m very no fuss (read: boring), so I want to keep it simple. I’m thinking soft waves, potentially pinned back. Open to any suggestions.
Who doesn’t like a good crafternoon every now and then? When I saw these adorable canvas magnets on The Sweetest Occasion, I swooned. They are perfect – and so easy to make. I’ll add it to my to-do list at #956. Kidding, I actually want to do them this weekend if possible. Cute little gifts!
