Draping your Jewels

When I moved into Apt. 335, I knew I wanted a unique way to hang my jewelry (instead of my typical over-the-door hanger). I went to Anthro, bought some fun, mismatched door handles, went to Home Depot, got them to cut me a piece of wood, bought myself some paint, and went to town. Okay, so Sasha ended up having to help with the drilling, but still! The final product is below 🙂 In hindsight, I would have preferred a piece of salvaged wood, but that can be done next time. I think my favorite jewelry holder is the first picture below! I want to recreate that whole setup for my first house.

P.S. How awesome is that clipboard jewelry display? Obsessed.

Atheneum Creative Gets More Creative

I look at Oh So Beautiful Paper every single day (it has it’s own tab on Chrome), and whenever I see a stationary set that I’m obsessed with, I get all excited and giddy. And you know what the craziest thing is? 99% of the time, it’s a product of Atheneum Creative, located right around the corner in Houston. Needless to say, I know whom I’m turning to whenever I’m planning a big event. It’s that Carolyna Pro font, I’m telling you. It’s amazing! Say Cheese!

Okay, you know the drill. Sit through the meal, listen to the speeches, watch the first dance – all the while, anxiously eyeing the photo booth in the corner, waiting to be able to escape and act like a fool with fun glasses, boas, etc. Lately, I’ve seen some really cute photo booth signs, setups, etc. See below 🙂

Salmon Color Palette

You know I love a good Chevron print, but what even I didn’t know about until recently, was my love of the color salmon. Recent posts on 100 Layer Cake and Style Me Pretty have me reeling. I love the grey and salmony pink mixtures and little accented touches.
