I super love Easter. The church service is always amazing – it’s a beautiful thing to celebrate the fact that Jesus rose from the grave (the ever popular: He is risen!). Our church, Bayou City Fellowship, was packed, which made me so happy. We went to my parent’s house afterwards for Easter lunch + got little Easter baskets, filled with gift cards to Starbucks + Jonathan’s The Rub, healthy snacks (we’re both very picky), + prosecco with the cutest bunny glove ever (see pictures below). I hope you had a great celebration as well!

Cannot wait to marry this guy in a few months!

This man… Love love love.
I love to travel. If you’re read more than one blog post of mine, you’ll likely know this. I have a goal of going to 50 countries by the time I’m 50, and I’m on track – Indonesia (where we’re going in December) will be my 25th country to visit (and I’m 25). Traveling is the most exhilarating thing in the world, and as a photo-lover, the best inspiration. I look through my pictures often (and print most!) – I picked a few of my favorites from my last four years’ (international-only) travel. If you want to go to any of these places, ask me! I’d love to share advice. Have a good Good Friday!

It does not even make sense to me that six months ago, Pierson looked like this. I’m like the crazy “Aunt” who is overly obsessed and takes a ton of pictures, so naturally, I was thrilled when Ashley asked me to take some for his six month anniversary. It was a sunny (but chilly!) day at the park – ready for Easter (I mean, those egg pictures, c’mon!). I took 500 and whittled it down to 97 – my favorites are below. This little man has my heart!

And my favorite… I have a million captions for this one!
Sasha looks just like this when something goes awry during a Texans game.

The weekend started off on Friday with the delivery of our first Maxwell couch (so excited). Afterward, I went to West Elm to get new bedding for one of the guest bedrooms (see above). Following came a glass of St. Germain and club soda at Benjy’s with two of my best friends, Paola and Patrick – i.e. I was one happy camper on Friday by 6pm. I went to the other Benjy’s in Rice Village for a friend’s birthday dinner, then went to bed reasonably early because I had a 10k in the morning. After running errands all morning, I realized I had locked myself out of the house and had to drive to the Medical Center, where Sasha was in class, to get a key (I’m losing my marbles). I had a slew of visitors come and see the house (thank you, Jess, for my lovely gifts!), then went to James’ 2nd birthday party, followed by a trip to Katy to meet one of Sasha’s best friends who lives with his sweet wife in Minneapolis. They recently had a baby girl, Ava, who was already sleeping when we arrived. Sunday began with church at Bayou City Fellowship, then HEB, lunch, and my least favorite task of the weekend – taking pictures of Sasha’s old furniture that I did not want to keep. I listed 15 items on Craigslist – what a crazy site. Hopefully most will be gone soon! My dad and sister and Sasha’s dad and stepmom came over to see the house, and we gave the 3D TV a spin – it’s incredible. Golf has never been so exciting! We finished the weekend with a dinner at Barnaby’s with two friends – capping Sunday off with falafel cannot be beat. Hope you had a wonderful weekend as well!
