Valentine’s Gift Guide for Him

On Tuesday, I posted a Valentine’s Day gift guide for the ladies, and today, I’m sharing some suggestions for what to buy your man. When I asked Sasha what men want for Valentine’s Day, he replied, “Nothing.” Typical.

However, some men are not quite as frugal as my Mr. Romantic, and if the love of your life falls into this category, I’ve got some gift recommendations for you. They are all relatively inexpensive too!

For the well-groomed man, I would buy Chanel Allure After Shave Lotion ($55, and swoon… it smells like heaven) or the cheaper option – Prospector Co. Brummell Shave Creme from J. Crew ($18).

Gift Guide for the Athlete

After two gift guides for the men (Gadget Guy and Outdoorsman), two for the ladies (Hostess and Girly Girl) and one for the little ones (Baby’s First Christmas), I have created a unisex present guide – for the athletes. I am drooling over some of these gifts, most especially the Tory Burch Fitbit Flex bracelet. It is perfect.

Gift Guide for the Outdoorsman

Last week, I published a Gift Guide for the Gadget Guy, which involved lots of research and consultation with my dad and Sasha. I had to do the same with today’s guide for the outdoorsman, which, conveniently, is what both these men consider themselves. While in Durango this summer, we got to test out a lot of outdoorsy products, as we spent the majority of the day outside. We bought these Bunjo chairs, which are seriously amazing. We tried them out at Sports Authority and sat there for quite a while – too comortable to get up!

My dad has this CamelBak water purifying bottle, which after watching endless episodes of Naked and Afraid (guilty!), I wish the contestants could have! It’s genius. We recently bought our good friend this cordless Dewalt drill, which Sasha geeks out over (and Brett did too!).

Gift Guide for the Girly Girl & Black Friday Sales

The next gift guide in my holiday series is for the ‘girly girl.’ Similar to the hostess and travel lover guides, I would take any and all of these presents (especially that Audrey lamp from Lulu & Georgia!). All of these gifts are for the ultra-feminine lady, which naturally means there is a whole lot of pink involved.

Gift Guide for the Gadget Guy

Growing up, there was only one ‘gadget guy’ in my life – my dad. He has always been on top of the newest technology, and I think when he added sons-in-law to his family, this was an important criterion for him. So now there are lots of gadget-guys in my life, and I really like it (less research for me to do!).

Creating this gift guide was very humorous, as it involved a FaceTime session with my dad, and the men were just shouting out cool gadgets that came to mind. Then there was internet research, and more idea yelling. I feel very confident that this gift guide covers the coolest gadgets for 2014. It also involves some explanation, as I had no idea what half of these products were!
