Calligraphy Filled Fiesta

I love a good fiesta, especially the one featured on Blue Eye Brown Eye here. Lauren designed the paper for this spectacularly colored wedding. I think that the flowers, paper, and desserts all complement each other perfectly. It’s fantastic. I am signed up for a calligraphy class led by Lauren (owner of Blue Eye Brown Eye) in March – I’m so excited. It’s a few days after the Meant to Be Calligraphy workshop I’ll be attending in Washington, DC with my mom. I can’t wait to learn from these two experts!

Our Invitation

At long last, I can reveal our invitations, as the majority of our guests have received them by now. If you’ve been reading Snapshots and My Thoughts for awhile now, you’ll know that I used Papellerie (formerly Atheneum Creative) to design the invitations and save-the-dates (ours is here). I honestly could not love them more.

Our Wine-Inspired Save-the-Dates

We sent our save-the-dates two weeks ago, and so I think it’s about time I posted some pictures! They were designed by Atheneum Creative, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how they turned out. We picked two custom logos for our stationary – one of them is shown on the wooden bottle below. I am currently “AS” and Sasha is “ASP” (Alexander Sasha Petrovic), and so we’ll become ASP on July 19. We have called each other ASP for awhile now, so we wanted to incorporate this into our logo. Now I cannot wait to help design the invitations!DSC_0441 DSC_0443 DSC_0445

Out-of-the-Box Save-the-Dates

The ‘Save-the-Date’ has become increasingly more popular in the last ten to fifteen years. They are a fun way to give your guests plenty of warning about the date of your wedding, given that the invitations are typically sent six to eight weeks before the event.

Plain stationary for save-the-dates is rarely seen anymore (which doesn’t mean it isn’t a good idea!) The fridge magnet is a popular choice, but I’ve found many other unique and beautiful options. Click on the pictures below to link to the source site. How about that balloon? And the matchboxes? Love.
