Month in Review
Happy 2019, friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve done a review post. I’ll blame it on a few things – for one, life has been crazy since we moved house last month. I can’t believe we’ve been in the new house for 3.5 weeks already! There is still lots to be done, but it definitely feels like home. Then combine that with lots of photo sessions and the holidays, and time has been sparse! But perhaps most significantly – the backend interface for the blog, which has been the same since I started this ol’ thing years ago has changed, and it’s been a nightmare to get used to (mainly with regard to adding photos). So below, you’ll find a TON of photos from the past month – there are most likely a bunch of missing photos that I uploaded, a lot of duplicates, and zero chronological order – but *sigh* I gave up after spending hours (that I didn’t have) trying to figure it out.
Some highlights from the past month include:
- A surprise baby shower thrown by my sweet friends in honor of baby Georgie. I have never ever been so surprised and am so grateful for these amazing ladies and their generosity!
- Christmas with my parents in Katy – we had the best time celebrating with them and loved all of the festivities that led up to it!
- A trip to the Zoo with Sydney, Cam and Phil – the girls were loving all the animals they saw – and a trip to the Natural Science Museum with my dad and Auntie Aileen a few days before Christmas. That butterfly exhibit is really incredible!
- Holiday celebrations at the girls’ schools, including a chapel performance and class Christmas parties!
- A field trip to Dewberry Farm for Isla’s class!
- Two doctor’s appointments to check out Georgie’s growth – she is growing like a weed and causing me lots of pain, but I know she’ll be worth it!
- Finally, after over two years of house-build-process, moving into our new home!
I hope that your 2019 is off to a great start and that you had the best time this holiday season too. Cheers to another wonderful year. I’m going to be more consistent in posting again now that we’ve settled in and the holidays are over! Can’t wait to ‘get back to it!’ as they say. xo
